Savage 111f- $501. 22" barrel(standard calibers), 24" barrel(magnums). Accutrigger, synthetic stock, dual pillar bedding and the best accuracy out of a production model.

Remington SPS-$604. 24" barrel(standard calibers), 26" barrel(magnums and ultra magnums). Remington adjustable trigger, synthetic stock w/R3 recoil pad, hinged Floor plate, very poor accuracy and many malfunctions.

So basically, for about another $100 you could get another useless2" of barrel length, hinged floor plate, a more uncomfortable stock, and a rifle that will likely miss the side of a barn at 50 yards.

Thats about it, so take your pick. I will alwaysgo with the savage. The savage will kill any critter at a tremendous range, and the Remmy should kill a deer at a very shortrange with a lot of luck.

Gunbroker has the SPS for $430 and the 111f for $400, both .270's.
Fixed it for you based on facts.
