How far are u shooting is the main thing. That light of an arrow may have more speed up close, but once it gets out there a ways, it looses its umphh so to speak. I had a buddy who razzed on me for shooting a heavy arrow(420 grains) He was shooting a legacy with Gold tip 5575 arrows that all together weighed about 380 grains. That guy had 296 FPS with his bow. But, he lost A LOT of energy down range. 20 yards or less and your fine, but after that, your pushin it. Give us a little more info and we may be able to solve this whole thing, but to me it sounds like the range is a factor.
