thanks guys.

ive seen flu-flu arrows, but they have always looked like an arrow with a big pipe cleaner on the back. iv also heard that big feathers will have the same affect as the "pipe cleaner"

LBR, the contest wasnt really such a big deal. it was basically a bunch of people who had never shot any kind of traditional bow before (including me at the time). i got lucky and nailed the baloon at 15 or 20 yards.
it wasnt a seriouse contest so there wasnt really a "prize" if you won. the instructor that was there was awsome and gave me one of his arrows as a kind of "congrats."I had a blast just shootin a longbow that day and thats the reason i got into traditional bow hunting.
