You just have to try different things until you find what works for that particular bird. I always take my box call and several mouth calls, sometimes just switching calls can be enough to work. My last resort is to gobble with my box call, I don't like doing that because they can run straight to you so fast you can't be ready. I think one of the best locator calls is a cheap silent dog whistle.
