Default RE: Choosing a bow

The X200 is a great little bow and would serve you well. If you want to buy new, chekmate also makes a great one piece recurve. You can get a CM falcon for $240-$325 depending on the version you choose. The only down side of ordering a CM is the current wait time is fairly long, but they make a great bow. You can check with G&M archery. They usually carry a decent stock of the CM line. They may have something in stock. http://www.gmarchery.com/bows.php?rvar_index=0&rvar_mfg=All

Buying used is also a great option. There are severalclassifieds that you can keep an eye on. http://tradgang.com/cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=forum;f=5

Many times, you can pick up some good used equipment for a good bit less than what you'd pay new.
