There not griping about the shots that kill, there talkin about the WHAT IF factor. What if the head moves, what if the deer takes a step. All good points and to that i still say Take shots you are comfortable and confident you can make. Dont just shoot your gun 2-3 times a year and go tryin to get a head/neck shot on animal. It does take a more patience and alot more bullet/gun control.
My gripe is in regards to the mentality that goes with territory. As you clearlyassumed yet again, that your skill is superior to mine or othersbeing I/we choose to shoot H/L vs head or neck. For some of us it has nothing to do with ability, rather everything to do with respect. Equally some of us actually think we are human and that means miscalculations be it bullet path, unexpected events, conditions or good ole fashion screw ups. Not for one second do I believe everyone has not or will not make a mistake, it happens no matter how good you think you are!!

Please explain how more patience is required in the head or neck area vs the H/L? I will not shoot at an animal standing straight on and if no positive angle is presented for which the lungs are in the projectiles path I simply don't shoot.

I also spend a lot of time on the range each year, asa reloader shooting is fuel for my hobby.
