Thanks answerguy. Any idea what cedar is worth? The guy I bought it from didn't hunt. He owned it for about 10 yrs. He said he thought about logging it but that the cedar wasn't really worth that much.
As you can kind of seein the last pic, there is about 2 acres in the back that is higher ground. I had thought about clearing out a portion of thatand plantinga small food plot.
Call your DNR and see if they can give you the names of any loggers in your area. Advice I've been given is always get a few estimates before doing anything. As to the cedars value; I have no idea. But I have to believe it is far from worthless. If you got that 2 acre area cleared you could have quite a draw for deer. The problem you might have is having the deer eat it all up before the season starts.
