Years ago, when the Staghorn was the bottom of the line CVA rifle, I bought one. It has the nickel barrel, 24" long, 1-28 twist (stamped on the barrel) and the black synthatic stock. While the barrel to stock fit is not perfect, I only paid $89.00 for the whole thing. The funny part is, 90 grains of powder and a number of different projectiles, especially powerbelts, and this thing will really shoot impressive groups.
If the Wal Mart around here had them for that price, while I do not need them, I might by a couple and give them as gifts to nephews or something... that is a really good deal.
If your local Walmart carries MLers, I would bet if they are in stock, the price is 59.99 black/blue. The price change happened this week. Am I dreaming, or do the Buckhorn's come with a lifetime warranty?
Is the Elkhorn the CVA version of the X-150? They seem pretty much the same when it comes to features/action.
