All my ML's have worn rifle scopes. I also have never had a Eye relief problem with any of the 3000 series or any other scope for that matter. IMO the 3200 elite is a great bang for your buck in terms of optics. If buying a leupold it would be a VXII or preferably the Vari X III(which is essentially theVXII repackaged but is a 1 piece scope tube vs 3...
!). Though unlessit was a super deal my money will goelsewhere....bushnell or zeiss namely

I see no need for any rifle to have 12x scope for biggame hunting but if you do then go for it.
