my research shows that the 300wsm is just as good as the 30-06 and has less bullet drop with the same weight bullet over the same range. Was gonna buy me a 30-06 until i dug a little deeper into the research. Corse 30-06 ammo is easier to find in a pinch -v- the 300wsm
