The differnence is usually where the parallex is set in them and the eye relief. I like 3.8-4.0+ inches of eye relief in my scopes for the muzzleloader. The parallex is fine 50-75 yards for me as that's where most my shooting is. Other then that, what reason would someone have for anything with more then 9X on a muzzleloader.
