As far as the best gun, I can only speak for what's in my safe, and my best is a Blaser R-93. I have one in 375 H&H and one in 300 WSM.
I dont think the deer you shoot will really care what the name brand of the rifle is .... 270 or 7mm08in any brand is hard to beat for a WT.....
a high dollar rifle looks good walking into the woods but the deer aint any deader when shot by a Blaser , Browning orif shot with a Mossburg shotgun ... JMO
