Default RE: Opinions on Beretta 96

ORIGINAL: hunterdeneugene

I've carried the 92, 96 and Glocks for duty weapons and my preference is the Glock. Better trigger pull and unless the Beretta is a DA only, I can't stand the decocker and in the 96 after you decock the gun, itstays on fire and is unable to be put on safe. I know the Glock cannot be put on safe either, but its just a better choice in my opinion. And I shoot it better too.

What? On the model 96 the safety is a safety/decocker. When the hammer is back, if you flip the safety to "safe" the hammer falls(decocking the gun)and the gun is on safe.Maybe I'm misreading your post. I do agree that a Glock is a fine firearm but not as good as Sig.
