Here's an even better idea, yeoman: go to http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/downloads/powertoys/xppowertoys.mspx and download the Picture Resizer. After you download the file, run it. Then you'll be able to open the Windows Explorer (file manager, not Internet Explorer), go to a folder that has a bunch of pics, select one or several or all, then right-click and resize them to fit whatever screen you'd like. resized to fit 800x600 screen, they'll prob be under 100kb; if not, try 640x480.
