CORD FIRST THINGS FIRST. You got to be comfortable!!!!!!!!!!!Warm!!!!!!!!!!And most of all awake!!! To take care of the first 2 bring a padded foam seat to sit on (also helps prevent hemerorids!!) If ya have an old sleeping bag use it like a pair of pants keeps legs and back warm.

Mostly no sense spending all that time up there if your going to get comfy and take a nap!! Make sitting in your stand a learning experience. Look for tails while up in your stand. Test your skill at guessing distances. Put your self through different situations. Do you shoot or not?? All these will keep your mind occupied. Next thing you know its time to go or better yet your trophy shows up!!!
