RE: Coyote lures
i have discoverd over the years that it is very hard to fool a coyotes nose,even more so when it comes to alfas.to use scents in the manner you discribed would be to deliberatly set up so they would come from down wind.this to me would be unproductive.you can confuse a coyotes nose for a moment(a very short moment)with cover scents such as skunk,but he will straighten it out in a hurry and discover that something is just not right.it is my feeling that the same thing would happen with any other type of scent.you could try any of the gland type lures that trappers use and see what happens.but as any trapper will tell you,scent control on your part is very important.
