Frizzellr-Your advice is very close to the advice I gave in replying to ceaser8's other thread (important please help)A long range rifle does not make one a long range shooter.Only skill and practise together with a proper rifle and loads make one a long range shooter.I practise regularly at various distances on our local 550 yard range, and have custom rifles that will consistantly shoot 1/2" groups at 100 yards with proper loads, and I own a 1200 yard laser rangefinder and I would not consider ever shooting at any game at over 500 yards.I won't even shoot that far unless the conditions are perfect.There are far too many beginners out there with the idea that buying long range equipment will make them a long range shooter.
