RE: Is this poaching in Kansas??
Yes, this is considered poaching. I called the KDWP about it, I asked if my fiance were to buy an either sex whitetail (buck tag-rifle) and I were to buy an either sex archery whitetail and take both animals myself if it would be legal. They said even though a lot of people do it, and there isn't usually a lot of large reprecussions for doing so, they'll still at least make you spend the night in jail and confiscate everything you have on you, truck included, you just might avoid the other penalties of poaching. The regs say No hunter may harvest more than one whitetail with visible antler protruding from the skull, or something to that effect, so no matter what, only one buck can fall by your hand. Despite the fact that whether I shoot or she does, the buck still gets legally tagged is irrelevant, it's illegal to kill more than one buck per year per hunter.
Screw the 10 ring, keep them in the zero!!!
