I started out hunting the Mainistee national forest.I never seen a buck with a gun in my hand. The only bucks taken back then were 1 1/2 ers. This was back in the late 80's where if you wanted a deer it had to be antlered. You would sit out there and see 20 flat heads and no bucks. I still have relatives that hunt it now they only see about 1 to three doe per sit. What a waste of time.I Love the big woods feel ,but sitting there knowing there is no mature buck is to much for me.
