Don't give up. It sounds like the call is working fine. It does take practice and will get frustrating. If your just getting into turkey hunting, maybe try to start with an easier call just to learn the turkey laungage. Maybe a box call or push button. After being more familiar with the sounds, you will have a better idea in how to move your mouth/lips/tongue to mimic the call.
