RE: Alabama Baiting
I put corn out all year long, but only in front of my camera during the season and I never hunt over it, believe it or not. I've got three different pieces of property I hunt so I move the camera from one piece to the other and put corn out to see what kind of deer are in the area. It gets me excited to know what I'm hunting, plus it helps in judging deer in the woods. Somebody I take would be less likely to kill a button buck or a spike if they've seen pictures and know what's there and what to look for. I never hunt over the corn, game wardens are running all over the place and I would be the one guy to get caught, plus it takes away from the challenge and excitement of planning a hunt. If hunting was easy I wouldn't be so addicted and excited about it, I probably wouldn't hunt. When I move my camera from one piece to another, I hunt the other two places after the corn has been eaten up while I'm gettin pics from the other piece. If everybody around me wouldn't bait deer and hunt over corn it would be easier for me to get pics without baiting, but there's always somebody around me hunting over corn. Honestly I wish corn wasn't so readily available everywhere during the season, it really ruins everything for people who actually like to HUNT for deer.
