Up until recently,deer rifles all came with open sights out of the box.My remington 722 still has the open sights I did mount a scope on it but I guess it's all about personal preferences if I felt comfortable with open sights I would stick with them.

It's the operator that messes up....not the equipment.Have confidence in yourself and shoot straight.
