I know exactly what you mean... the Nosler 260's that I shoot do exactly the same thing - but not near as quick or as flat.
I really think that plain old XTP has a huge future and I do like it better than the SST/Shockwave.
One bullet I am going to shoot this spring is a 180 grain 10mm Speer Gold Dot. I wish they made a 200 but they do not. I have a lot more faith in the Gold Dot than I do the Hornady's. To often I shoot the lead right out of the copper - even their interlocks. With the Gold Dots the copper is fused to the lead (plated). I really want to try them the Gold Dots into a clay bank. I consider the Gold Dots a"poor man's Nosler"
