Pro38 dual cam VS. Patriot
I just recently sold my Patriot to buy a Pro38 dual cam.I had a pro38 dually earlier this year but had to sell it because of my back but I have the back under control now, so I thought why not try a pro38 again because I really liked it before.
I got to shot both bows side by side. The Patriot is a 60lb model maxed at 62lb and the Pro38 is 70lb maxed at 73lbs. Both have cat whiskers, limb savers, string loop and a doniker shorty hunter(on the pat. mounted in the rear, Pro38 in front).
This suprised me but the patriot@62# didn't feel as smooth drawing as the pro38@73#. The pro38 did feel heavier but is was smother to draw. Go figure.
The Pro38 held much better on target, I guess because the bow is not top heavy and the pro38 did feel lighter than patriot but both are the same weight.
On the shot the Patriot did beat the Pro38, but not by much hand shock was similar but the vibration was a little more on the pro38.
We won't even talk about speed because we know which is the second fastest bow in the world or at least until jan. The spec sheet for the pro38 has is doing 322fps with 28" draw and 71.8lbs with a 350gr arrow.
Smokin' fast!!
In a nut shell I think both bow are great bows but I have to give the nod to the Pro38 because I like the way it draws and holds on target better and the added speed with very little vibration and hand shock.
I know all you people with dually pats on order will have something to say about the speed issue in jan.
Also what length and weight Stealth stab. would you suggest on me getting for the Pro38? Darn you Matt<img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>
