I called the guy (Bill) who lost a buck out thereand asked him what kind of slugs he was using and sure enough hesaid Brenneke's. I asked him just how big the buck was and he said "as wide as his ears with tall tines."

I told him to meet me out there and look at the rack and he did. He was almost 100% positive that it was the buck he shot.He looked relieved, a bit sad andhappy all atonce.

Hehas been searching for it ever since he hit it. I know he's been broke up over losing it. He's an older gentleman and doesn't get around so good and yet he's been walking the area several times a week, still looking. I know he feels bad that the deer went the way it did.

Hanging that rack on my wall wouldn't have done anything for me. I'd much rather keep the memory of Bill smiling and thanking me for the 3000th time.

But that's just me. I'm sappy that way.
