RE: 308. Brush gun....or not a Brush gun
In a good bolt gun the .308 is almost the same as a 30-06. It is capable of much more accuracy than most shooters are.
To me there is not enough difference between calibers like the .270, 30-06 and the .308 among others to make a fuss about!
I had a guy once tell me that my .308 was just a little better than the 30-30! That just showed his ignorance! The .308 is close to the other long range calibers that I mentioned , both in power and trajectory.
