Default RE: GPS systems?

The benefits of the use of Gps's are many. You are only limited by your time and creativity.I have used one for years,my initial goal was just to get in and out of big woods with a lot more confidence.I would advise the use of a compass in conjunction with your Gps.They are mechanical devices and can fail.In 8 years of use I have never had it happen but you want to be prepared.
I have many locations marked that I can go right back to.Stand locations, area's that were abundant with sign, funnels of many types.
With the topigraphical map and aerial photograph programs available you can enter in coordinates of area's that look good on these resources and go right to them.Very cool and useful stuff.
I hope you enjoy it!
