Ive got a mid 70's rem 760 in 308. Bought it from my uncle about20 years ago. It will shoot cloverleafs at 100 yards all day long. I laugh when people say those cheap remington pump guns arent accurate theyre just lead throwers,, you have to have a free floating barrel to be accurate...
I tell them Ill put up a $100 and Ill shoot my pump you shoot your bolt and I gaurantee at 100 yards my groups are just as tight..

Look at the gun they are a free floating barrel, and darn accurate.. People want too believe what they want too believe,, but there are some of us that know the truth! rem pumps are excellent hunting rifles,, only draw back is that darn rattle when walking,, holding the slidebars solves that problem but it is a bit annoying.

Timney triggers used too make aftermarket triggers for them,, not sure if they still do or not.
