There are some people that had complaints about the Bobcat. They have a hollow stock so recoil can be a little stiff. This is cured by taking the plate off the butt of the stock, I vacuum sealed some lead in two bags, added that to the stock and then put rags around the lead. Replaced the end, and this added weight too the bite out of it and made it balance better.
There were some complaints that the hammer did not line up with the nipple. Some bent the hammer others sent them back to BPI and made them bend the hammer.
If all you want is a couple day a year rifle or something a lot of fun to go to the range and shoot roundball down range, this might be a real good way to got. You're not going to be shooting 200 yards with it, but with practice, 100 yards is not out of the question. They are a good shooting little rifle for little money. They also make a good training rifle and loaner rifle. I use mine when I walk way back into the marsh. If I drop that rifle into the mud, well it will hose right off. If I drop my $500.00 Hawkins, I might be a little upset.
I've seen then selling on auction sites for $90.00. If all you have is $50.00 invested in the rifle that is not a big deal if you only shoot the things a few times a year for fun. I've wasted $50.00 on a foolish night out more then once...
