Skeeter is correct on what he says. The Savage 10ML-II is the best major manufactured ML hands down. Skeeter is right about the price range.
I have a 10ML-II, stainless with a black synthetic stock. The stock is very flimsey like Skeeter reported, butit has not affected accuarcy for me. I have commonly shot the say load that skeeter reports, but have used other powders like IMR 4198.
You can reallly work up/build a variety of loads for the Savage that will give you centerfire rifle like performance. A few of the more dedicatedsavage/SMI shooters have developed loads getting around 3,000 fps.
The 10ML-II is fantastic and I am planning to usemine for rifle season this next year.

I would recommend the savage to anyone wanting a very good ML, that will shoot smokeless "completely safe" and also give you the option of shooting777, etc if desired.
