Default RE: PA hunters no reports

Hardly anybody's talking cause hardly anybody's complaining. The competition is gone to shoot everything with horns, heard lots of shooting, more than last year, but only heard one volley in four days so the woods felt far safer, only came across one wounded deer where I usually find several. Seems the GC found a way to get the herd in balance, increase the percentage of bigger bucks, and make folks identify their target better before pulling the trigger. Gotta guess it's the anti-PGC folks making up tales when I hear internet stories about all the dead deer left laying cause everybody I know says they've seen fewer too.

Only going to get better next year now that the GC finally struck a deal with the legislature who insisted we needed to keep subsidizing the county treasurers for doe licenses so we can start dividing the state into DMU's. If there's anything left to gripe about, it should be the $1 Million of our license fees that will keep going to the county treasurers even though they are no longer needed for processing doe licenses. Sounds like a bureacratic dream and a waste of money to me. Everybody sends their application to the PGC, they sort em by DMU, then send em out to the treasurers to issue, just so the county treasurers can make a dollar on each one. No doubt the anti-PGC guys that were wrongly blaming the PGC for DMU's being held up will dream up something new to complain about but that's us PA hunters. We'd complain if you gave us a new pair of boots cause they weren't broke in yet.
