Oh, I can sympathize with the getting smacked in the forehead thing. I had long lost the threaded eyepiece ring on the Bushnell on my '06 (leaves a very sharp edge by the way) and, while sighting in a hot load, it got me good one day. Definitely hard to tell where bullets are going with blood trying to run into your eye! That's also good for a laugh from other shooters at the range too, of course. Worse yet, I had to replace that scope a few years ago and, believe it or not,the first day hunting the ring fell off this scope! I gotta remember to keep a bandaid or two in my wallet, i guess....
