RE: Most memorable hunting moment this year?
chasing an antelope for 2 miles before i could see any horns, then getting to within 80-85 yds, hiding behind a 4'tall bush as it was looking for me. the wind was blowing about 35-40 miles an hour right in my face, after 5 or so minutes it turned broadside, i grabbed the bush for support but the wind was moving the bush all over the place. i took a deep breath, let half of it out, tightened up just as the wind calmed down a bit, placed the crosshair in the vitals and squeezed the trigger and watched the buck drop in its tracks.
here i was out in the plains of arizona yelling and hooting and no one to hear me except the cows and buzzards. 9:44am opening morning, called my buddy on the talk-a-bouts and told him "i'm done come get me".
my 1st antelope hunt ever<img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>
IF IT IS TO BE......
IT IS UP TO ME......
