Well, that was almost too easy! <img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>
I only had time to put out one set the other night, and decided to use 280 conibears on a box set. It is open on both sides, and I have notches cut out so the conibears fit just right on both sides. There is a tray in the middle of the box that the food goes in, and because it is open on both sides, the scent can pass through easier. I went out to check it and managed to get an arctic fox. I still don't think I'll do that well on them this year since there was a large rabies die off this summer, and I don't think I'll set too much for them anymore. I know the population is in decline right now, but I don't think if I take a half dozen of them they will go on the endangered species list!
What surprised me is that the conibear didn't kill the fox. The bars were around his neck, and he didn't look that much worse for wear. I put it down quickly, and will hopefully get out tonight to set some more.
Anybody else having luck yet?
