RE: deer and treestands
If it is old and has been there for a while the deer are probibly used to it. I have killed deer out ladder stands that high before at close range. I do not use them anymore but not because they were not working, I just got climbing stands now. If there looks like deer sign around there use it, it can't hurt. Make sure it is safe before you hunt out of it.
