This season I've had 25 mature buck sightings from 11 different bucks (there'll be more).
There goes the myth that mature bucks are so hard to hunt. Obviously all you need is to have plenty of them around and magically they start appearing as decorations on your wall
I guess those QDM guys are right............just fill the woods with bigger bucks and they will be much easier to kill.
Atlas, you have ZERO experience with mature bucks. Your points are invalid. How could you possibly know? Have you ever seen a mature buck? You, at best,are guessing what it would be like to hunt one. We have both made our choices on what type of deer we hunt. I have twice as many years in the woods as you (40), during that time I have hunted herds ranging from ones like yours to the herds that I hunt today. I worked hard to accuire these spots. Because rule number 1... If you want to hunt for mature bucks, you have to hunt where they live. I did my homework and got what I desired. We are responsible for our own hunting experiences. You seem to just complain about yours and cast stones at mine. Sounds like sour grapes to me. Why don'y you look for a better spot. Don't make excuses, you must not want it bad enough. Please, don't try to be an authority on something that you have Zero experience with.
