RE: little ones make big ones
I primarily hunt very small trackes of land, sometimes smaller than five acres, and a largetract ofWeyerhouser owned land that totals over 400,000 acress. So far this year I have: Hunted 14 times on the small private land and seen 1 fawn, and 9 days on the timber land and saw 2 smaller bucks. Ipassed onthe rawn and shot the 2 small bucks-a spike and a spike with a small kickerpoint. Like most people I'd love to shoot a monster, but the reality is thatif I pass on1 or 2 deer the odds are I won't see another one.Not to mention I think there is something about only trophy hunting that causes one to miss a wonderful aspect of hunting.
