I think that shooting either 4-4" hellical fletch or 3-5" hellical fletches are fine. I personally like 4 fletches on my hunting arrows. But it is a personal choice. I would recommend bright fletching such as yellow, white, red, orange so that you have an idea of where you hit the deer, seeing the impact point and the type and color of blood on the arrow and fletching. I also like to use feathers instead of veins.
