RE: Results of 50 Hdy SPSX in .223
I don't recall any warning label, but I should be fine in the velocity department. I haven't chronographed the loads yet, but with 24.5 grs of IMR4895, I should be right in the 3050-3100 range, which is plenty fast.
I will have to chrony this load sometime soon.
I loaded 4 shots each of 24.5, 25, 25.5, 26, and 26.5, and the most accurate at 100 yards was the 24.5 with .456, so I stuck with it, and loaded the remaining 80 of the 100 for that charge, and have two more boxes to burn.
Subsequent groups later on gave me a group right at 1" at 100 yards, which is plenty accurate for jacks and dogs out to 250 yards or so, though my shots are rarely that long, and usually under 150.
Well, I tried to post a pic, but my scanner is giving me fits, so much for that idea.
