For what I am willing to spend on a 22LR, I find the 10/22 to be totally satisfactory, slip in a 25 round clip loaded to 21 or 22 and have at it.

My favorite 22 is a 223, rifle-wise the AR models come to mind, Colt and Bushmaster.
