Do yourself a favor and do a soil sample. If there is any place a foodplot may go bad, it's when the soil is not sampled and the resulting directions followed. It takes about 2-3 tons an acre to raise the soil pH value one point. This may take in excess of 6 months or into better than a year, depending on the soil make up.
