RE: mossberg 100atr
Bought one for my son in 3006 end of October. Sighted in @ 100 yds shot 3 1-3/4" groups with the rifle. Last weekend on the 18 my son shot a nice nontypical 6 point whitetail with it using 150 gr Federal hishok ammo. It did a real nice job shoots well for the money I topped it with a 2-7 Bushnell scope it is a real nice gun for the money. Now will it hold up for 30 years of pounding I don't know but for a meat gun it's good.
The only negative I had is the extractor broke during our sight in session and needed to be replaced after 30 rounds but the rifle has worked well since. very smooth shooting even as light as it is. My only other big critisizm is the plastic molded in trigger gaurd kinda cheep. The action is smoother on bolt lift than the Savage/Stevens guns which also is a good selling point for kids or smaller shooters. It handles and point really nice.
