The genesis is a good bow. It is the bow NASP uses, which may already be, or soon will be in your school district. They are growing very quickly.
You may want to have her try one, as the draw weight can be a little tough for the young girls. They have no let-off. I use them to instruct Girl Scouts, and the girls love them. But, the smaller ones do have problems pulling them back.
My daughter is also 7, and has been shooting with me since she was 4. She has a very light, easy to pull, PSE recurve. As I know she is interested and wants to get more involved, I will be purchasing a Hoyt Trykon Jr for her, in pink of course.
