I didn't gun hunt this year because I got 3 during bowseason and was tagged out. I thought I didn't want to gun hunt any more until opening day rolled around and I was driving to work instead of sitting in the woods. That was the first rifle opener I've missed in alot of years. I think it hurt my dad a little bit too that I didn't gun hunt with him this year. I didn't think I'd miss it that much but I was a little sad not to be there.

Around here, gun season is more about tradition and comraderie instead of serious deer hunting. There are just too many gun hunters in the woods to really expect good hunting. It's about family traditions more than anything for us.
