That is too funny, but at the same time is also true. I used to be a bigger is better guy myself, but have been forced to come back down to earth. That is why I now shoot the .270 and now an 1894 44 Magnum levergun. The 44 handles like the 336 30-30 but carries a bit bigger bullet. Went ahead and let my son have the 30-30. Great guns. You just dont need anything else for shots under 150 yards. There may be better guns for different occasions, but for all around effectivness the 30-30 takes the cake.
