Thank you okcmco for your input,it was along the same lines that I was thinking about with a fixed 4x scope.I have owend a few Leupold veriables in the past and have been very happy with them.This last year life has delt me a few devastating[?spelling]blows and I had ended up with just a 870 express left for a gun.If it had not been for a close friend and hunting partner I would have never ended up with the Mossberg ATR,he won the gun in a raffle and sold it to me for the 100.00 he had in the ticket.I did find a MX8 4x today that is new in the box for 2000.00 dollars,a littile more then I wanted to spend but the lady who had it also gave me a Burris Fullfeild 4x in the deal.I know nothing about the Burris line of scopes but still think I did ok on the deal.I like what you said about keeping things simple,that is the only way I keep going every day.Thanks againe
