RE: Gun Hunting
I kinda agree with all of you. As cheesy as it is to say....
Yes bowhunting isharder. its a challenge. I've bowhunted since I was 9 and have never scored on a whitetail.
I gun hunt because it's still a challenge, but if I spend a week in the woods, there WILL be venison in the freezer. I gun hunt because of the time spent with my Dad. I gun hunt because it's one more reason to be in the woods.
Don't knock me because I likely will get skunked with a bow this year, just like every year past, so I pick up a gun to put meat on the table.
It's been years since a real wall-hanger was killed on our place, probably a decade. But I still hunt, and I still enjoy every moment, every breath of cold fresh air, and every whisper of noise out inthose pastures.Doesn't matter wether I have a gun or a bow in my hand.
I don't hunt for the "challenge", I hunt for the experience.
I dont hunt to have killed and proven myself to others or to measure my skill against others.
I hunt to have experienced Gods grace and beauty, and played my intended part in his design, aspredator.
Gun or bow, neither changes my place, my part in all this. Neither makes me feel any bigger or more significant while standingin God'smountains.
