RE: Gun Hunting
I agree with kenman, well except the "better hunter" part. I hunt almost exclusively in NH, the biggest difference in the deer I shot between bow and gun? About 20 yards. Sure, I have not gotten shots at deer this fall with my bow that had I had a gun it was a dead deer (like a 6 ptr at 25 yards for 30 minutes,ugggg, no shot), but hunting is hunting and saying folks in one part of the country are better or worse isn't right, not better or worse, just different.
around here a 100 yard shot is LONG with a rifle. We just can't see that far for the most part, but there are spots where you can and deer are shot WELL out of bow range all the time. Most are shot inside 50-60 though, yup, out of bow range, but in gun range.
It's different and honestly it is easier with the gun, but it still isn't a gimmie, at least around here.
