I would keep looking throughout the property one more time get a few friends and sweep the land.
I did but failed to tell all the details so here goes. When I found the belly crawl spot I started to track him in the snow and pushed him out of a bed a few hundred yards into the woods. I could see the blood mark in the bed high on the back and could also see he had 4 good legs under him so I decided to wait. It was dark by then and decided to let him lay and hopefiully die. The next morning we went back there and I found the bed and tracked him to 3 or 4 other beds in the snow. The bleeding stopped and I was still able to track him. I could see he meandered all through the swamps and actually started to feed after he mixed back in with some deer. I looked for him until noon or so and then decided he was OK.
