I just picked up a new TC Prohunter and am going to mount the Nikon Omega BDC 250 whichis a 3x9x40mm. I'm going to use the Talley one piece base & rings just for the Encore and am wondering if I should go low or med w/ a 40mm objective. Anyone using this set up please comment.

Also, other prohunter owners what are you shooting in this rifle?? I'm currently shooting 150 gr of 777 and 240 Hornady XTP 240's. Does the prohunter like this load? I def. want to shoot 150gr and 240-250 bullet as that is what the Nikon Omega BDC is designed around. However, I heard good things about the XTP's. I personally have only shot one deer w/ them, a doe at 25 yards in the front shoulders. Pass through, good blood trail and she only went about 40 yards and piled up. THey're been good to me, but I have heard different.
